Ushers

Help people find seats, take offering and offer other assistance during Sunday worship. Contact Sasha.

Sports

As part of our sports ministry, upward is an evangelistic basketball/soccer league. Upward is looking for coaches, refs, scorekeepers, and other helpers. Contact Harper.

Library

As a great resource to our congregation, the library needs help on different days at different times with varying jobs which include running the check-out counter on Sundays, book processing, straightening shelves during the week, writing book reviews and updating the website. Contact Lisa.

Snow Shoveling

HYACKs father and son teams help shovel the ice and snow in the parking lot and surrounding the church. This great serving opportunity is one that has been a tradition of College Church and is much appreciated by the Church community. Contact Ginny.

Missions Festival

Our Missions Festivals encourage and strengthen our missionaries while helping the congregation stay informed about their ministries. To have a successful Missions Festival we need help in many areas including collating, decorating, event setup, food preparation, serving meals, food delivery, photography, rides, hosting missionaries in your home, lending cars and supervision during the MK Fest. HYACKs

Do you have a heart for high schoolers and desire to invest in them and equip them for ministry? Contact Ginny about becoming a HYACKs small group leader.

KMs

Are you passionate about junior high students having a firm foundation? Do you love playing games in the gym? Contact Ginny about becoming a KMs small group leader.

Resale Shops

Twice is Nice and STARS Resale both need donation volunteers to sort through donations and volunteers to help run the stores. Contact Mary.

Helping Hands

God’s people using resources and gifts to serve His family. Includes auto inspection and/or repair; child/elder care; cookies/food; errands (shopping); food/meals; health aide (e.g. bathing/dressing); light housekeeping (e.g. laundry/cleaning); outside home maintenance (raking/snow shoveling); small household repair; transportation; miscellaneous help. Community Dinner
with Friends

An assortment of jobs including shopping, cooking, serving and cleaning up for weekly Wednesday all-church dinners. Contact Sasha.

Information Table

Greet and assist church members and visitors to gain information that pertains to the life and ministries of College Church. Contact Diane.

Kitchen Fellowship

Help clean and organize the kitchens weekly and enjoy fellowship with others. Contact Diane.

Single Moms

Various needs helping the single moms of our church and community. Contact Sasha.

Landscaping

Join our flower planting and clean up team to help prepare the grounds of the church in the fall and spring. Contact Howard.

Experienced Painters

All experienced painters come help with the ongoing touch up room painting needs around the church. Paint and brushes provided. Contact Howard.

Holidays/ Events

Help with set up and take down of decorations for special holidays and events. Contact Ashley.

Immigrants/Refugees

There are numerous ways you can get involved with immigrants and refugees: become an ESL aide, join a Good Neighbor Team around a newly arrived refugee family or relocate to Wheaton Square Apartments. Contact Chris.

International Student Ministry

There are many ways you can get involved in bringing the gospel to more than 19,000 international students who are studying in Chicago. Contact Chris.

Plasma screen

The missions office needs someone to turn the plasma screen TV on before the first AM service and off after the last AM service. Contact Marilyn.

PADS

Volunteer to staff an emergency shelter in Wheaton the fifth Wednesday of the month. While serving dinner and breakfast and doing laundry on an overnight shift, volunteers have the opportunity to converse with the homeless guests.

Outreach Community Center (OCC)

Volunteer opportunities include: helping out at the annual Christmas store as a wrapper, shopper’s helper and the like; partnering with community families in mutually supportive relationships that include friendship and mentoring; tutoring students participating in OCC programs. Contact Abbey.

CareNet
