Inclusion

We believe God has made each and every child in His image. We provide a place for children with intellectual disabilities or sensory challenges to worship God and to learn more about Him. Some of these children learn best by being in our regular classes, but they may need some assistance. We provide support to children as they participate in children's ministry classrooms. Support can come in a variety of forms, including teacher consultation, 1:1 buddy/aide and other types of assistance.

When
Our inclusion ministry can take place in a variety of settings including: Sundays, 9:30 a.m. (year-round) and 11 a.m. (school year only) and other club and music programs as appropriate.

Who is invited
Children with special needs who can participate in learning and worship in children's ministry or music ministry groups when provided with support. The decision of which children are likely to flourish in an inclusive class and what support is needed is made with input from parents, children's ministry leaders, and the inclusion coordinator.

Registration
We need to make good plans for your children for a positive start for all. Calling us in advance is required, and we want to get to know your child a bit before he or she visits our church family. Regular inclusion plans are customized for each participant, so please contact Shelley Swanson to get your child started in the program.

Other Information
You will need to be reachable by phone or cell phone. An updated medical form and release form are necessary at your first class.
