MISSIONARY FURLOUGH HOMES

The Missionary Furlough Homes are one of four home ministries that are supported by the missions department at College Church.

The Furlough homes were founded in 1962 as a not-for-profit organization whose desire is “to provide comfortable and affordable housing for families on furlough.” There are eighteen rental units in Wheaton—eight duplexes and a home that has two apartments. Monthly rent is based upon the maximum allowed by the occupant’s mission board or the current rental fee of the Furlough Homes Foundation. The normal rental period is from summer to summer, although they sometimes have six-month rental periods.

3 John 5-6 “Beloved, it is a faithful thing you do in all your efforts for these brothers, strangers as they are, who testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their journey in a manner worthy of God.”
