YOU AND MISSIONS

The church’s activity to proclaim the gospel and make disciples within our culture is termed “near-culture ministry”. The church’s activity to proclaim the gospel and make disciples across language and/or ethnic boundaries is termed “missions”. Missions is advancing Christ’s kingdom cross-culturally.

While there are many boards and committees at College Church that help our church reach within our culture with the gospel (e.g. Evangelism, Culture Impact, Christian Education, etc.), the Board of Missions helps College Church reach beyond our culture with the gospel of Christ and thus fulfill God’s Mission to bring glory to Himself by redeeming a nucleus of believers from every people group on earth.

In the coming years we have seven goals for growth:

  • 5% CONVERSION growth here at College Church through the personal witness of our members.
  • 10% of our people GOING as missionaries.
  • 25% of our congregation caring for our missionaries through SUPPORT TEAMS.
  • 50% GIVING half of our giving to missions.
  • 50% of our adult members going on a STAMP trip.
  • 100% of our congregation PRAYING for our missionaries and for lost people who don't know Christ.
  • 100% of our congregation KNOWING and understanding our commitment to the gospel and missions.

Acts 1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
