Instrumental Music

Instrumental Music at College Church is organized by Chuck King, Pastor for Worship and Music and volunteer coordinators. Players may meet for regular rehearsals or be called on an occasional basis. The College Church Orchestra primarily uses players from the church, contacted by our coordinators.

Brass instruments (Doug Kuite): brass players (adults and high school) are used for enlarged brass sections, orchestra, solos/small ensembles, etc. on Sunday mornings.

String and woodwind players: For services, the ensemble varies from small to full chamber music ensemble. Occasional and seasonal/festival orchestras draw from adult, college and high school players.

Percussionists are used in the orchestra, with brass and/or choir, and are called on as needed.

Jubilation Bells handbell choir (Paul Wrobbel): Meets Wednesdays, 6:45 - 8:15 PM in the Choir Room. The bells rehearse weekly during the school year, and play monthly in morning services, in addition to seasonal services/events. Participation is by audition; substitutes are also used for rehearsal and service playing.

Sunday evening service musicians include pianists, guitarists, and other instruments to contribute to congregational singing and prelude/offertory music.
